Bao's at Ah-Ma’s Taiwanese Kitchen

Located In the Trader Joe's shopping center.  Had the Lu Rou Fan - rice with slow-cooked minced pork, black mushroom, egg & shallots $5.50 (yummy); Cup Sticky Rice - sticky/glutinous rice, dried baby shrimps, black mushroom (yummy) $5.50, the pork belly bao (super yummy) and the Dirty Bird Bao - fried chicken cutlet, daikon radish & carrot $4.50.  Chicken was not as good.  Maybe it was the cut I got.  Cute, small place with charm.  Will definitely be back for a bao!!  Would love to see more baos and salads too!

The Luminary

This is the first place open at the Krog Street Market.  We liked the space (all white, very open), good crowd but it seemed to be lacking something.  We were thinking maybe a more ornate center piece above the bar or more subway tile.  Maybe a DJ in the front corner??  You can't just have good food either, you have to have a good vibe.  Places like Barcelona kill it in Inman Park because they create a great ambiance with music, art, etc.  We had the streak frites, bibb lettuce salad and oysters which were ok.  Loved the Shrimp Toast.  Cocktails were in super tiny glasses and salad portions were very small.  I felt like I was back in LA!  We will definitely be back to support the neighborhood and check out what has changed on the menu.  Staff was friendly and attentive, loved that valet was inside a covered area (because it was a torrential Atlanta downpour).

Umi

Excellent!  Finally I found a crispy rice with tuna dish in Atlanta!  Have not been able to find this since I lived in Southern California.  The salmon sashimi melted in my mouth.  Very fresh, very tasty.  Good people watching. Not stuffy like a lot of other Buckhead places either. Good service.  I will definitely be back!

Yebo Review

This is the best food at Phipps I decided.  Ate here last night and we loved everything that we had!  Highly recommend the fried chicken, Georgia Shrimp, Ostrich Sliders, Roasted Vegetable Bunny Chow (spicy), Mac n Cheese and The Soaked Martini to wash it down.  They are considered small plates but aren't too small, which is nice.  Great ambiance (not "mall-like" at all!) and they had a guy singing and playing guitar which was nice but not too loud.  Have heard a great DJ here on Friday nights as well.  Will definitely be back.

I recommend making a reservation because it can be unpredictable to get a spot with the movie theaters there.

Seven Lamps Review

Awesome spot,  Nice atmosphere.  Located in the Shops Around Lenox.  I had the Maine Mussels w/ smoked andouille, white wine, charred jalapeƱo, fennel butter, grilled baguette and beet salad which was yummy.  (This was for brunch and that paired with white wine made it the breakfast of champions!) They have crafted cocktails as well.  Perfect brunch with the gals.  Our server was very friendly and patient with our questions. Apparently they allow dogs on the patio too.
